Rancore: quando il rap si fa carne e colore

Il panorama musicale contemporaneo si muove spesso su binari predefiniti, dettati da algoritmi che premiano l’immediato a discapito dell’eterno. Tuttavia, in questo scenario dominato da logiche di mercato sempre più stringenti, emerge il valore di chi sceglie la via del pensiero profondo, trasformando la parola rap in uno strumento di indagine filosofica e umana. Oggi più che mai avvertiamo l’urgenza di artisti capaci di restare fedeli a una verità interiore, figure che non temono di scendere nelle pieghe del reale per raccontarne le crepe. Rancore appartiene a questa rara genia di esploratori del linguaggio, un artigiano dell'Hermetic Hip Hop che ha saputo costruire mondi per poi avere il coraggio di distruggerli, riportandoci finalmente a casa, o forse a una nuova, inedita consapevolezza.

Dopo aver attraversato le curvature spazio-temporali dello Xenoverso, quel cosmo in cui realtà, immaginazione e futuro si intrecciavano in una danza visionaria, Tarek Iurcich compie un passo inatteso e brutale verso la concretezza. Il viaggio tra le dimensioni lo ha portato troppo lontano dai confini del tangibile, causandogli una perdita d’orientamento che ha richiesto una soluzione drastica: l’amnesia. Il nuovo album Tarek da colorare nasce proprio da questa frattura, da un vuoto di memoria necessario per sopravvivere al grigiore della realtà. Lo Xenoverso svanisce, lasciando dietro di sé soltanto un messaggio criptico e l’urgenza di ricostruire da zero un’identità, un modo di stare al mondo e, soprattutto, un linguaggio.

In questo nuovo capitolo assistiamo a un azzeramento creativo totale. La lingua stessa sembra spezzarsi, regredendo a suoni ancestrali o inventati, tipici di chi scopre la comunicazione per la prima volta. È una pagina bianca che attende di essere riempita, un ritorno alla realtà che non è rassegnazione ma spazio di riscrittura. Il titolo del progetto suggerisce un’azione corale e personale al tempo stesso: colorare significa dare senso, sporcarsi le mani, scegliere una sfumatura in un mondo che la propaganda politica e sociale tende a dividere in blocchi contrapposti. Rancore riflette su come il risentimento sia diventato lo strumento perfetto per isolarci, addormentando l'anima in una guerra di posizioni che ci rende sordi all'altro.

La direzione artistica di questo lavoro, curata interamente da Tarek sia sul fronte musicale che su quello visivo, testimonia una maturità che affonda le radici in oltre vent’anni di carriera. Dalle prime jam romane al successo di critica con Silenzio, dai premi sanremesi per i testi di Argentovivo ed Eden fino al recente ingresso del brano Arkano 2100 nei libri di storia delle scuole superiori, il percorso di Rancore è un unicum nel panorama italiano. La sua capacità di unire il rap alla pedagogia e alla riflessione sociologica trova in Tarek da colorare un punto di approdo fisico e materico, celebrato anche dai formati speciali che includono set di matite, quasi a voler invitare l'ascoltatore a partecipare attivamente alla creazione del disco.

Questa nuova fase troverà la sua naturale estensione sul palco con il Tarek da colorare Live. A partire da maggio, le date di Milano e Roma daranno il via a un tour che attraverserà l’Italia per tutta l’estate, portando nei festival una dimensione performativa che promette di essere tanto intensa quanto il disco stesso. Sarà l'occasione per scoprire se siamo ancora capaci di mischiarci e di lasciarci contaminare dai colori altrui per svegliarci, finalmente, dal torpore di una realtà in bianco e nero.

Rancore: when Rap becomes flesh and color

The contemporary musical landscape often moves along pre-defined tracks, dictated by algorithms that reward the immediate at the expense of the eternal. However, within this scenario dominated by increasingly stringent market logics, the value of those who choose the path of profound thought emerges—those who transform the rap word into a tool for philosophical and human inquiry. Today, more than ever, we feel the urgency of artists capable of staying true to an inner truth, figures who do not fear descending into the folds of reality to recount its cracks. Rancore belongs to this rare breed of linguistic explorers, a craftsman of "Hermetic Hip Hop" who has known how to build worlds and then had the courage to destroy them, finally bringing us back home, or perhaps toward a new, unprecedented awareness.

After traversing the space-time curvatures of the Xenoverso—that cosmos where reality, imagination, and the future intertwined in a visionary dance—Tarek Iurcich takes an unexpected and brutal step toward concreteness. The journey between dimensions led him too far from the boundaries of the tangible, causing a loss of orientation that required a drastic solution: amnesia. The new album, Tarek da colorare, is born precisely from this fracture, from a memory void necessary to survive the grayness of reality. The Xenoverso vanishes, leaving behind only a cryptic message and the urge to rebuild an identity from scratch, a way of being in the world and, above all, a language.

In this new chapter, we witness a total creative reset. Language itself seems to break, regressing to ancestral or invented sounds, typical of someone discovering communication for the first time. It is a blank page waiting to be filled, a return to reality that is not resignation but a space for rewriting. The project's title suggests an action that is both choral and personal: to "color" means to give meaning, to get one's hands dirty, to choose a shade in a world that political and social propaganda tends to divide into opposing blocks. Rancore reflects on how resentment has become the perfect tool to isolate us, numbing the soul in a war of positions that makes us deaf to others.

The artistic direction of this work, entirely curated by Tarek in both musical and visual aspects, testifies to a maturity rooted in over twenty years of career. From his early Roman jams to the critical success of Silenzio, from the Sanremo awards for the lyrics of Argentovivo and Eden to the recent inclusion of the track Arkano 2100 in high school history textbooks, Rancore's path is unique in the Italian scene. His ability to bridge rap with pedagogy and sociological reflection finds a physical and material landing point in Tarek da colorare, celebrated also by special physical formats that include pencil sets—almost an invitation for the listener to actively participate in the creation of the record.

This new phase will find its natural extension on stage with the Tarek da colorare Live tour. Starting in May, dates in Milan and Rome will kick off a journey across Italy throughout the summer, bringing a performance dimension to festivals that promises to be as intense as the album itself. It will be an opportunity to discover if we are still capable of blending together and letting ourselves be contaminated by the colors of others to finally wake up from the torpor of a black-and-white reality.
